Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is a name that might ring a bell to more than a few. Known for boasting some of the most exceptional and most expensive wines in the world the Domaine has always kept a certain mystery around its success. All the Domaine wines are designated Grand-Cru and its vineyards are UNESCO world heritage sites. Limiting its production to around 6,000 cases a year also contributes to the wines’ extremely high demand along with premium prices.

Grands-Echézeaux Grand Cru is produced by the iconic Domaine de la Romanée Conti and is characterized by its bright and shiny color. In comparison to its neighbor Echézeaux, Grands-Echézeaux GC shows more complexity and is better suited for long-term aging. Aromas of red and black fruit on the nose followed by aromas of oak and spices. Endowed with an excellent concentration, powerful and full-bodied these wines are some of the best produced in the appellation. They require 15-30 years of aging to reach their full aromatic potential.
